Well he won't have anyone to punt in T1 starting from pole like his usual first lap contact issues

...........unless Max passes him at the start and that will be highly entertaining in itself.

Hilarious to hear the chatter in the last few laps with one more race for some points…

The RedBull chatter from both drivers was cringe.
Max needs a good team mate to assure some more wins but refusing team orders when
he has NOTHING to gain more than what he has already is just selfish. Checo confirming that tought.

LEC asking for some more points when his team mate deserves his podium for a job well done.
( But he is now tied for points with Perez…)

MERC is back watch out for next year.
Go George!

Lot of passing in this one.

Already a lot of discussions about “selfish Max”… (check out YouTube..)
And Horner sidestepping the question about his drivers…

Max will need to do a lot for Checo in the next race if he can to get redemption and a worthy cheer from me again.

Max is, well, Max. He’s matured a bit in the last 12 months, but …

All in all, we knew who he is when we took him in.

Apparently this whole thing goes back to Monaco. Don't know the specifics, but apparently Checo admitted to Horner about causing a red flag during quali on purpose.

Im sure Netflix raced to the RB paddock as soon as the race was over.

Side note, super happy for George. He had a perfect sprint, and had a great Sunday race. It seems like Lewis was genuinely happy for him, which is all good and all, until next year comes in and Mercedes is able to compete as front runners, hopefully we dont get another HAM vs ROS situation.

Interlagos rarely disappoints, which in my opinion is what happens when you race on a proper racetrack.

That's pretty chicken shit of Max if that's the reason. You are double world champ, RB won constructors, help your teammate. What happened in the past happened in the past. Checo has helped him a lot in the past.

That Max penalty was BS though. Ham could have left more room, Max could have backed out. Racing incident.

I agree Max seems selfish for no reason here. His comments over the radio make it sound like there was a conversation about this type of situation behind the scenes and Max was sticking to what they had talked about. Maybe some shady convo with Helmut. Either way, pretty crappy thing to do.

Edit: Even worse: Max admitted it was revenge against Perez.

Concerning the incident with Lewis. Rules say Lewis doesn't HAVE to yield bc he is the car in front. However, he knew Max was there and instead of leaving him room, like anyone else passing there did, he chose to risk contact and cut him off into the curb bc he knew the rules would fault Max. Contact could have been avoided if Lewis has given the room he knew a car there would need. These are the games Lewis has been known to play.

IMO the excuse "Max being Max" when battling Lewis needs to be changed to "Lewis being Lewis". Max has passed and gotten passed by everyone else just fine all year. There has been some really good racing with Max and others; Scraps with Leclarc coming to mind multiple times. The common denominator is Lewis.

Arguing against ^ that point. If Max was smart he would have waited until the straight to make an easy pass. Now THAT type of thing is Max being Max

Coming from neither a Lewis or a Max fan. Fans deserve better from champions.

Way I read the pace...Max never had the pass through the corners but dove in to be"ahead" on the first... which cost him pace on the cutback. He'd probably have had a good exit and for sure under drs a pass without the game playing. But he had to overtake early rather than being patient. Could Lewis have given his overt aggressiveness room? Sure. He risked a puncture as it went and he definitely lost position... It wasn't smart. But neither is letting someone get away with shit.
I'm actively working through stuff on passing and rules, because I struggle with it on track. So I may be wrong (note... I also only sim d2d because I'm not comfortable I'd be a safe driver in meatspace yet). But I think the penalty was spot on. Max never had that pass in the corners without Lewis giving it to him. He knew Lewis wouldn't. He has the season well wrapped. I think he was gunning for Lewis as payback for whatever wrongs he feels deserve payback.

So Guenther Steiner announced his decision yesterday that Nico Hulkenberg will replace Mick Schumacher next year and that he had also reached out to Daniel Ricciardo with no reply before the McLaren saga.

Hope for the best for Micks future.

I think HAAS just needed someone who won't break the bank in terms of vehicle incidents. Which unfortunately for Mick, has been a constant issue. Nico is a decent driver, at least HAAS's results should be a little more consistent next year.

Williams seat is still open, and Mick should be cheaper to hire than RIC.

The Williams seat is going to Sargeant if he can pick up enough superlicense points this weekend. Schumacher is likely out of F1

RIC has been signed back with RB. Though Lawsom will be the reserve driver.
