Kpower looks to have updated their installation guide:

"The fuel kit also includes a couple parts to delete the OEM fuel pump ECU and replace it with a traditional relay setup. This improvement in design (Fall 2022) will allow the pump to prime for 5 seconds when the ECU is first turned on, instead of it running continuously. The fuel pump ECU is located behind the right side rear plastic trim inside the cabin. Pull the trim back and look for this:"....

I just sent over an email to them to see if they will ship that part of the kit to me. It would be nice to have the Haltech software pulled up without worrying the battery will die.

So I did this swap specifically to do rally cross (and drift) events on the weekend with DD as it's primary use. Today I got to do it's first shakedown on the dirt on a backyard rally cross course my buddy and I have been building over the last two months.

My thoughts:
Front end grip is surprisingly good. I feel just about as confident in finding traction as I would in non dirt scenarios.
Rear end grip is non-existent. As a long time rally cross RWD driver this doesn't surprise me at all, but admittedly part of me was hoping it would be better than expected; it was not.


Here is me vs my buddy in his Focus SVT. Similar HP, similar tires, similar suspension, main difference is drivetrain layout.

Welp, guess I'm going to be joining in this thread a bit more now.

Just picked up a former supercharged FA20 TT car that's been sitting for a few years. The car is 100% sorted for track use, other than it liked blowing up FA's, so gonna see if a K can make this thing better. Time to start putting some swap parts together!

So, how difficult is it to get the transmission out without pulling the motor?

I dunno, I am assuming these are parts of the 4th gear synchronizer assembly. Car took a bit more pressure to go into 4th in the last session on Sunday so I figured it was fluid change time.

This was a jacks box btw, im under the car typing this and I’m not seeing how the transmission can come out easily without pulling the motor so that is kind of annoying.

Need to find a transmission and slap it in this week since I have events on Saturday and Sunday.

Darn, sounds like carrying a spare transmission is a great idea until it can’t really be done in the paddock at an event. I have a spare, but doesn’t seem to be worth bringing it in this case of the motor always needs pulled for it

This was a Jack trans? those pieces look like the are from something more substantial than a syncro though. I'm pulling mine out this week, I guess if you were closer you could come get it.
