I mostly care that they're properly blanched before they're fried. Oh, and I hate the breaded ones. To me, that's cheating.

While I still think pet insurance is worthwhile (so far the covered costs have more than made up for the monthly payments, which saved alone in a bank account wouldn't have covered all of Haru's tests/treatments this year), it really is in some ways a scam.

For instance, this past month Haru had a bad ear infection. We had to visit the vet 3x, and since our normal vet is an ass (long story as usual) we had to go to an urgent care, pricier vet, so $150 exam each time. Insurance only covers the tests/treatments, so taking a sample of the infection and running tests on it and then the medicines to clear it out + antibiotics.

They refuse to cover "exam" fees, even though those exams weren't typical, like a physical would be, they were literally only, specifically, for the medical condition he was dealing with.

3rd year in my house, and we are still going to run out of candy... 1 hour in with 2 to go, and down to about 1/3 of our supply. We MIGHT make it to the start of hour 3 this year. Maybe.

Edit:. Made it!

We did the lights off thing here this year. Too many other things going on. I usually take the big puppy and sit at the bottom of the driveway for the duration but not this year.

I'm trying to figure out how to make that work since I have been working under the house with no porch lights on but the living room lights on and no blinds. Still getting door knocks.

Rainy night here. Had maybe five groups of kids.

Same here. Last couple years we carved more pumpkins than kids came. Last year we had like 2 infants, then about 6 rude teens too old to be out.

Maybe they have the same dipshit parents that call the Pacific desk instead of CONUS.
Caller - Puerto Rico...
Me: What ocean is that in???

West coast I allow because some think it's time zone. But NY, VA, TX, ECT?
Getting to the point where I wanna start asking them if they speak English or listen to the call tree that you HAVE to listen to before making a choice.
