Maybe I’m too tight on the valve lash, we ended up on the low end of the spec, will see when I cold start it later today.
Maybe the cam gears were finding their homes. You'll let us know in either case, I'm sure

Good a guess as any

Engine feels great even at part throttle and under 4k rpm, highly recommend everyone disassemble and get some head.

Did you test compression? I bet it's cherry after valves lapped.

I didn’t but that plus some fresh rings and cleaning up the buildup on the valves is probably what I’m feeling.

Oh, damn.... I fixated on the heads and forgot that you replaced the whole short block.

Not sure why there was some gunk building up in the clutch reservoir, but removed the recently fluid I put in, and tried wiping off as much of the blackish gunk as I could, and put in new fluid.

It's fine particles wearing off of the piston's o-rings. Normal and harmless. Ends up in the reservoir because that is the net flow of fluid. As the clutch wears, the reservoir fills.

What was meant to be simply adding quad tip garnishes to a MY17 bumper turned into a lot more work. I bought a bumper online that had much more severe damage than described and shown in the pictures. I had 0 painting or body repair experience going into it but here is what I started with, and here is where I’m at now after getting the quad tips welded on today. Had to modify the diffuser to fit but I think it was worth it and don’t know that anyone else has done the same combo before.

Really happy with how the paint came out, did mess up in a few spots but for a first time and doing a paint blend with spray cans I can’t complain.

Any feedback on the intake? Do you have to take the bumper off to clean the filter?

Aliexpress, just keep in mind those particular tips significantly changed my exhaust tone, at least from what I hear inside the cabin. Don’t know if that’s due to it being a dual tip, the resonator “heat dispersion” holes or both
