Jesus that thing is practically brand new.
Dude must not have had anytime to drive it and had to leave immediately.

And must have had a boatload of cash available to him to just give it away for that price

omg.

Yeah. I've still got the original pads at 95k miles.
I've changed fluid in the mean time though.
Still, it's time to do some inspection and updates.
Ten years is far too long to let brake maintenance go.

If you don't feel confident about DIY, treat it as asset management,
like getting your teeth cleaned or painting your house.
(wait, you haven't done that either?)

And if you want to invest money in casino games then you can take ideas from that post. This https://makemoneywithoutajob.com/how...online-casino/ post will be best for you. I have also taken help from this site to play casino games. And getting the dream of buying a car has come true.

just bought a 200k mile completely stock 2013, single owner with full service history, didn't think twice. it was half the price of lower mile 70-140k mile '13-16 examples. Been running fine for past 4 months, no oil consumption. Picked up a cheap low mile transmission out of a 2020 for back up when needed.

If it's a good car it's a good car, age doesn't concern me, I know I will have to do maintinence regardless. I wouldn't touch a multiple owner ragged out car even if it were an '18 for example.

*it did not have the valve spring recall service performed

At 200K miles it is very likely if it did have the valve spring done it was done correctly because it was likely done up to 4 years and likely 50 to 100 thousand miles ago, assuming the mileage was relatively equally distributed over the years.

Certainly could be the case, the timeline would work for it. The carfax had all Subaru dealer services consistently over the years, so when the recall wasn’t listed I assumed it was never done. Car was bought at a random dealer who bought it at auction from the Subaru dealer the original owner traded it in at.
