That is your opinion. My father was a Gray Tools man. (look 'em up, largest tool manufacturer and 1st company to make tools specific to the auto trades).
I've worked with other brands, some cheap and some expensive. However, I like the feel of Snap-On tools in my hands. That's just my preference. YMMV.

For eight years ending in 1983 I worked for a division of AEG Telefunken. In the last years I was there they became a warehouse/service center/retail outlet for AEG power tools. I don't know about today but back then I couldn't afford even their entry level electric drill.

DeWalt and Milwaukee do make sockets and screwdrivers. Nothing special but they are not bad. My small electronics screwdrivers are Milwaukee and I actually like them a lot. When it comes the ratchets and screwdrivers I get picky.

Found my old Snap-On impact. Circa 04' or 05' I think. They had a 9v version before this 12v. Still works.

TIL they have to take down a big portion of my back fence and get a crane in my backyard to r&r a large well pump. After 10 months of waiting for gov. approval, we got the 1960s rusted leaky pressure tank replaced in one of our wells with more modern stuff, and now the 1960s pump won't start back up. I have to move both trailers out of the back tonight.

The m12 milwaukee tools are perfect for the homeowner, DIYer who will use them a dozen or two times a year. If your going to use the tool everyday making a living, different story.

Meh, if I was wrenching again I wouldn't be afraid to use them daily. Though probably not if I was a heavy equipment/diesel guy.

Snap-On ain't what they used to be either.

I could never afford snap-on. I did buy a bunch of Craftsman when I worked at Sears from late 1979 to early 1981. Craftsman was different then. Still have my original wrachets.
