Meh. Just leave them be. It is probably for the best in the long run anyway.

No argument against it.

I find almost peace in the fact that if I ever did something like that when I was a kid, the chancla would've flown from anywhere in the world my mom was, and still be able to hit me in the back of the head with such force that I would've forgotten what I was attempting to do before it all went dark.

what has everything come to...remember when kids used to kill themselves off the good old fashioned ways with drugs, booze, reckless speeding into the night without headlights, or playing chicken on a 2 lane highway with opposing traffic?

Guess who called yesterday asking "By chance do you still want it?" Of course we still want it. The real question is when do you want to stop carrying costs on it?

The RC experience was quite an interesting one. It's easy enough to find the car because there is only two in the country for sale right now so if you want to look it up you can find it.

The dealer has the original window sticker on the car from 2020. There is another window sticker on the windshieldwith a different price. There is another price listed on their website, and yet another price on every other national listing.

They would not give us a final price on the car. There were two "options" that were on the inventory sheet that were not listed anywhere else. They kept making up numbers as they went along. They gave some bs excuse that they couldn't do a credit inquiry. He offered to do a retail order so we could get financing but in the end they changed their mind and said I had to use their financing at 8.9%. Then they went back and said they would discount the two "options" only if we agreed to the higher purchase price. But they would not tell us which of the four prices this was based upon. The car also needed brakes and that was agreed to but I think he tried to put the retail cost of the brake job in the price of the car... but he wouldn't say it.

For cars flying off the lots, trucks, and trailers, this car has been sitting in their inventory for 10+ months. Only one other person expressed interest and we were the only ones allowed to test drive it. Literally everyone in the whole dealership came to see it leave the lot.

Driving the 90 minutes home we laughed because the closest we came to a deal was all on their terms at some unknown price. We felt like it was a street corner card game. At one point my wife said "I'm bored and I want to go home". And this car is for her.

Dealers should make money. I'm not depriving them that. Why can't they be up front about things? Why do they have to hold you hostage, turn up the heat in the office you are sitting to make you rush through things only to find out something was added and you didn't notice it because you were hungry and dehydrated.

I like how I have introduced you guys to the feared Latino-mom chancla. Legend says that once a Latina becomes a mom, they unlock a special ability to aim and have 100% accuracy with the chancla.

It's not unique to Latin culture, at least not in my family. My Mother and Grandmother could hit you from 30 ft away with their discount store flip-flops.

Must be a southern thing. My mother would never throw footwear since then her feet would get cold.

Yeah but flip-flop doesnt sounds as cool as chancla. .

But I get what you're saying, people my age, were probably one of the last generations that have seen a fair amount of objects being thrown at us, or used on us whenever we decided to act up. Mrs. Mafia mom used wodden ladles, belts, etc my gramma used Coax Cable left from leftover construction sites when the town I grew up in started getting cable TV, tree branches, wet rope.
