Man, so many games coming out. God of War: Ragnarok, Assassins Creed, Starfield, MW2, Hogwarts Legacy.

GoW is definitely on my priorities, good thing I kept my PS4, I'll probably download it again once it comes out on PC.

AC: Mirage looks like a return to the game's roots which, if so, is well overdue.

Not only that, the one in Feudal Japan is going to be awesome if they do it right.

My only gripe is that A.C does tend to be very repetitive, basically all of Ubisoft games follow the same concept, big bad guy, little bad guys, conquer territory, kill little bad guys, eventually make your way to big guy. Then there's the contracts. So we'll see, I haven't downloaded Origins for free and Valhalla is sitting on my desk collecting dust.

Because I tend to play games in "short bursts" of 30 to 60 minutes, I prefer that format although admittedly they have gotten a little too "all missions are the same".

Far Cry 6 was a little better at it in a way. The whole game just felt rushed and story wise, not much made sense or was nicely connected. In a way, all games are the same. Like Skyrim, is basically hack and slash throughout but the lore is what makes up for it. Which is what makes, in my mind, a good game; Mechanics, story/lore, visuals, and replay-ability.

They will have to shed a lot of staff. There will be an increase in demand for PSUs with the next gen of cards. There is more profit per sale for PSUs than graphics cards.
We'll see but I'm not betting on them continuing in the long term either.
From the articles I've read and watched Nvidia is a c*nt to deal with.

Ah, turns out that EVGA, is also in part doing this because now that mining is pretty much dead, there's no sense in pushing so much product out. Thus can't buy cards from NVIDIA as much as they did back in 2020. Which is weird because EVGA themselves started throttling the mining capabilities to 50% at one point.

Honestly, I don't really feel bad, they benefited greatly from and with NVIDIA for 2 good years making a stupid amount of profit, and now that mining is dead, they have to liquidate and cut their loses.

Is just business. If you have a contract to buy X amount of product, regardless of supply/demand, the wisest thing is to back out one demand greatly dies down.

Good news for us gamers though.

In other news, in preparation for God of War Ragnarok and other PS exclusives, I found a pretty sweet deal on a 4K 32-inch TV from Newegg. It was a GIGABYTE 144Hz monitor that happened to be open box. Now, I don't know about you, but you can save a pretty good amount of money on open box, you take a risk, but most of the time could just be a missing remote or cable. The 2 TVs at home were open box and since 2018 I have not had any issues.

Seems like there is more to this story

Top of the line serious rig though. MicroCenter has an online configurator where you can build your own. Haven't tried to see what a lesser config would cost. There's also some component pricing if you zoom in on part behind the monitors.

(EDIT: Apparently the forum is doing that thing where it rotates pictures.)
I thought that the picture was in the proper orientation and it was just showing how it banks and rolls for a flight sim.

Absolutely. There could've been a contractual clause that made EVGA to buy loads of GPU kits from NVIDIA at 2020 prices, regardless of demand, from which EVGA could've been benefiting from at one point. But with mining being basically obsolete, and demand down, EVGA is now sitting with loads of inventory and selling at a loss.

Earning reports are significantly low, and shareholders selling their stakes, I wouldn't be surprised if other companies follow suit (ZOTAC, GIGABYTE, ASUS,etc).

Not defending NVIDIA either, they didn't release pricing until the very last moment and right now they seem to be a political shitstorm for not disclosing their earnings from bulk buyers with mining farms.
