Spend the money and get an actual calibration kit.

I have yet to have seen a screen/tv match an actual calibration kit in terms of final quality.

But like they say on Rtings

Working for News for almost half a decade makes you a bit anal when it comes to proper screen calibration.

I ended up using their profile and did a screen calibration using the windows tool, had to look up tips and what not because I had no idea what I was doing when it came to the finer details. Didn't really notice much of a difference other than text is much finer and a little clearer. Realized my gamma was too high, whatever that does.

I'm all about investing money in something that will pay itself off in the long run, if the price is right and I see potential to benefit from it, I'll probably get a kit, I do know it is not cheap.

TIL you can now make AI generated images at home of just about anything you want...

(This is basically DALL-E 2)

https://github.com/cmdr2/stable-diff...i#installation

This is extremely cool, but also pretty frightening in some contexts.

Yesterday my wife and I decided to literally walk through a historical event. Went to see "our" dear Queen lying in state at the Westminster Hall in London.

Left our home 19.00 Friday night, got back home 13.00 ish Saturday afternoon. In that time we joined a queue that was on a constant move stretching over central London.. Got to see the Queen at circa 09.45ish Saturday morning..

The walk was fantastic, went through some great locations, the queue made-up of all sorts of people. The event has really pulled on the nation's emotions.

TIL that vultures are endangered in Africa because when poachers kill an elephant or other animal, the first thing that happens is vultures circle, which alerts athorities, so poachers shoot the vultures. The decline of vultures is causing other circle of life problems with death cleanup. If I was a young crazy military guy, it would be fun to be a poacher hunter in Africa. You can kill all of them you want, 100% legal.
