Why start the show in 2013 is the real question.
Hope it'll be good.

Not sure I get the jest of your "so what" comment. As far as the timeline, I was off, it's present day.

Was a favourite of mine and I was one of the many pissed offpeople when they just ended it the way they did.

My wife watches Little House and Waltons on some "religious" channel every evening and Quantum was on just before them so I have seen pretty much all of them over the last couple of years. Just not in any sort of comprehensive order.

I have high hopes for the new one I just hope they can keep the same mix of comedy and preachy that the first had. If they go too "woke" it will suck.

Yea, that sucky ending wasn't completely the show runners fault from what I understand. They didn't now if the show was going to be renewed or not so they had to leave it a little open ended that last episode.

There's even some alternate ending footage on REDDIT that shows they intended to have Dean Stockwell's character go looking for Sam, basically what the reboot supposedly does.

God it totally forgot the show takes place in their future/our past. The far off year of 1999

Seeing as the original show they never leaped past 1987-88 I believe.

I always thought the show was kind of ghey with the stupid cartoon sound effect and soapy stories. Even the theme music sucked.

The character could only travel back and forth within his own timeline, so it sort of limited it.

Speaking of theme music, I watched a couple episodes of "Greatest American Hero" last weekend. Now believe it or not the theme's stuck in my head.

(Also, I did not remember that show sucked so bad. It's moderately entertaining but so much slapstick)

It was a real product of the 80s for sound. The stories could be sappy but it was fun trying to figure out what it was he had to fix. The only ones that bugged me a bit were when they tried way to hard to force the social commentary about events that happened in the 50s and 60s while looking through 80s eyes.

Another generic 80s theme song really. (Cheers, Golden Girls, Family Ties, Married With Children and so on)

Nothing holds a candle to the theme songs from the 60s though.
One of my favourites even though the show only lasted one season.

TIL it is illegal to put an fa20 out of a 2013 frs/brz into a 2014 frs/brz, but it is perfectly legal to swap an LS3 into anything older than the engine...
