Her age is exactly what made me think on how I would react to, I don't want to say "lose", but stop hearing from people like S.D.A. Hell, even Jeremy Clarkson, Austin Stevens, Bill Nye, actors like Morgan Freeman, you know, people that influenced our lives. Life is nothing but a gasp. I still hurt whenever I think of people like Chester Bennington, if you're into early 2000s Alt Rock, he was the lead singer of Linkin Park, which was the very first band I had an album from and heavily influenced my passion for guitars, along with Carlos Santana.

As you get older you get very used to the fact that people that influenced you die off. Virtually every single person that was an adult through my formative years is dead now. Those that are not are pretty much in a condition where they may as well be.

When I heard about Bennington I was not at all surprised. When a buddy asked why not I simply said "Have you ever heard the Linkin Park lyrics?The result was inevitable. " That and Chris Cornell sort of leading the way shortly before took some of the surprise out of it.

Tell me about it. Except for one maternal Aunt (who was only 10 when I was born) I am the "senior" member of my family.

Pulled onto Post this morning and some jackass in a grey VW Jetta came blasting up behind me with their lights off and flashing their brights at me. Like, wtf am I gonna do? Move over onto the curb? It's 25mph on this strip and the MPs are always watching bro. At the intersection, they cut through it without stopping so I honk at them and they decide to stay next to me trying to rev their motor. I gesture to roll the window down but they just hang next to me trying to intimidate me with their shitty BOV before cutting across the Brigade parking lot towards a different battalion. Figured I might as well report them after I pull their info off my dashcam for reckless and dangerous driving on Post. Especially when there are lots of cross walks for soldiers and it's relatively dark in the mornings.

i laughed and shouted at the radio
