Will this fit?
I am looking at a pair of STI 18x8.5 offset 55 wheels with Tires 245/40R18 93W. I checked the fitment thread and I didn't see offset of 55 being supported.
I am new to tires/wheels, what would it take to get these to fit? |

While I am not positive on this, I would think your issue would be clearance with the front strut, as there is not much room between the wheels and the struts in the front. You might be able to get away with spacers, but I would generally not recommend going that route.

Also if they are designed for the STi it will have a 5x114.3 rather than 5x100 bolt pattern.

Tirerack.com will search for wheels by model. Pick 2013 Scion Fr-s and your questions will be answered.

Tirerack has had fitments for the FR-S for months. Select 2013 scion fr-s. Or use one of the many threads in this very section of the site.

What are your thoughts about using an adapter to fit 5x114 wheels? I found some pretty nice sets on Craigslist, but all 5x114! I figure if I decide to sell later, there's a bigger market for 5x114 than 5x100.

the problem with this is that you will have to account for the extra 19mm (.75 inches) of offset this will add to the wheel. so a nice 18x8.5 +40 wheel suddenly becomes a +25 wheel. also hub and shank stress and what nots..
