AUSSIE!AUSSIE! AUSSIE! OI! OI! OI!
Seriously hope we beat the poms in the medal tally, particularly gold. On the basketball - there will NEVER be another Dream Team, but this team is getting pretty close to that mark. Can't wait to tune into the womens beach volleyball or, you know, the synchronised swimming

I think they are some sports that should not be in the Olympics, imho.

Got an old mate on the australian Basketball team the Boomers, Mark Worthington. We played a lot of bball together growing up so thats pretty cool. Hope we can make it to the playoffs for a medal, we always seem to finish 4th or 5th.
Australia's overall team looks a little weaker then in previous olympics but we will still have our typical strong sports like the swimming, rowing and cycling. |

Caught the decision when Uchimura wasn't given a score for the dismount. I got a laugh when I saw the coach handing in the inquiry request with a fist full of money. But it was a close decision and Japan went from no medal to silver.
Bunch of losers booing the judges, that job is difficult.I've been watching swimming more than anything. The kayaking looked interesting but I only watched part of it. |

I can't wait for august 8th so that we can start watching the Taekwondo matches. it's a long shot, but GO TEAM CANADA!
I was watching the woman's road race yesterday was boy it was intense. Three managed to break away from the pack and had to work together to keep the distance. The the Dutch rider was doing most of the work in front, but the other two were taking turns too. At the last 100m the GB rider starts sprinting trying to steal the win from the Dutch rider who basically got the three there. The Dutch rider manages to hold her off at the very last second and takes a well deserved first place. Great race, plus it was raining so there were a few good wipeouts haha.

Women's table tennis was pretty intense. Ended up with China vs. China as the gold medal match though
