What are the odds?

I took my 2022 BRZ to a car wash in a small town yesterday, and there was one other vehicle there; you guessed it - a 2022 BRZ. In the second biggest country in the world with a grand total of 310 units. Groovy, baby.

Are the production numbers that low here in Canada?

turns out there's much more than 2 people in the world in such a hurry to scratch their new car!

You have to add the Nov and Dec sales as well since those were actually 2022s. Takes you up to a whopping 550. Really only a couple hundred under the normal first gen sales and no doubt there are still a few to go.
In the last 6 months I have seen more 22 BRZs than first gens around.

I actually passed another Hakone in Stratford last weekend and there are only 50 of them in the country so how about THOSE odds.

Does rain count? I've had a leaf stuck to my car for three months and I've been driving through puddles hoping it falls off.

If you even look at Subaru’s oem paint the wrong way, the clearcoat will start fading and the rock chips will start popping outta no where

Easier to let it happen and accept it, rather than try to prevent the inevitable

Those are long odds! The guy at the car wash lives in Ottawa and he drove to Charlottetown to get it. He said there were two available at the time and PEI had what he wanted. I had to drive to Hamilton to get mine - a measly hour away.

I thought the super high pressure of those was bad for the clear coat as well?

You could always spend $4-5k grand for a full PPF wrap.

London Subaru had sold 7 by June. They were all spoken for before they arrived though.

The Hakone had to be shipped here from Calgary and was the last new mt one for sale in the country so I know what you guys went through.

it's the cost of saving the environment.
