HobbyTown is about the only game in town. There are a few independent places that call themselves a hobby shop, but only do R/C. Then there is hobby lobby, which I wouldn't call a hobby shop.

hobby lobby is an interesting store. lots of gear that's easily repurposed for other projects...

i suspect you've got too many farmers around you, and slot cars/trains have been more of a city-boy trait

I did find out there are two model train stores in Boise, and I know there is the model train club here in Caldwell. Club has its own old store front near downtown with layouts inside. Makes more sense. I figured lots of old guys would be into trains here with our cold winters.

That is very cool. The outdoor layout is impressive. The Australian (?) accents add to the ambiance.

86 package has come!!! I was opening the box like a kid in the Xmas morning! All of em are limited collab & limited production, so cannot find it anywhere. Especially the shoes! Shoes, I’ve heard it run lil small, so I bought size 9 & size 10. Yes, bought 2 of em. Whichever I’m not wearing will be displayed in my limited edition shoes/cleats display case.
