I'd love to see them use an FB25 short block. In fact, if they don't I think it will be a fairly common swap in a few years. Easily 220 hp and 180 ftlbs.

It just looks like a combo of the 2 versions, but it really isn't. Its the FT 86II without the nifty Car show mods, lol. Pesonally I hated that rear spoiler. It looked like an afterthought.
Actually it does blend the two. The front bumper isn't just a toned down version of the Mk2, but rather an integration of the styling cues of the Mk1 concepts grill and shape with the higher more aggressive nose of the second. The lower crease along the side of the FR-2 is also taken from the first concept, and put in with wider rear haunches but similar lines to the second.

Looks awesome -- not entirely convinced that's what it will look like, tho'. What's the source on those renderings (thought I saw someone claimed speedhunters?).

If that's what they build tho', I'll be happy -- stunningly beautiful car!

I know my supra is better because of it.
remember the more technical, DIY, Improvments, knowledge base you get the more owners and future owners will come, than sponsers, group rate sellers...ect...

Couldn't agree more. I will believe it when I see it with my own eyes direct from Toyota/Scion. I have been burned in the past with these "pre-release/early official leaked" pics. Then the real thing comes out and they don't look the same. Let's wait and see what they show us today.

I wouldn't worry about it, Toyota always puts stupid crap on the Scion concept cars. Just take a look at the Fuse concept and the vanilla pudding tC it ended up turning into.
