Yep, old school approach was to leave ~150W worth of headroom for transients. Especially back when we had multiple 3.5” spinning rust disks in a computer.

That said GPUs and CPUs are getting out of control. I’m quite happy with a 125W CPU and a 220W GPU, and I’ll stick with that until the performance/watt improves again.

At least Intel’s Arc A770 looks to have sane power targets.

Damn, there's a lack of good Single Player first-person/third-person shooters right now and it sucks. I'm monitoring Steam releases and every new fps is just some survival horror/zombie piece of shit. I wonder if someone finally makes a decent one in realistic setting, with great story and atmosphere, like Max Payne or Mafia?

This one is interesting.

Played the demo, the atmosphere is great, the gameplay is fun (didn't expect that from a retro-styled fps), looks like there's an interesting story as well. Plus I like this setting.

That has very Last of Us vibes, just hopefully without the shitty writing the second game had and no zombies. People can be scary enough during desperate times.

Have you tried Sniper Elite. The Division 2, Farcry 5/6. Evil Within 2, RE 2, 7-8.

Love Far Cry/Just Cause franchises. I usually end up playing the campaign as an afterthought, just travel around and capture camps/blow stuff up.

I would add to that list any Assassin's Creed or Fall Out game (well 3 or later, 1 and 2 are turn based games which I do not care for).

1. I have lost interest in Sniper Elite after the 3rd part - same crappy gameplay, nothing new in the following titles. Devs picked a low-effort approach of trying to sell the same game with a different decorations.
2. Division is an online game.
3. Far Cry - see #1, same reasons.
4. Evil Within - survival horror.

The most recent SP games that I played that has an interesting story and atmosphere was Cyberpunk 2077, and Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. I can't remember anything else worth mentioning that was released recently.

i was never really impressed with any part of the halo series. very scripted


just restarted cyberpunk. i really hate the grind, hoping to do all the side quests first this time and then the main missions with full strength. though many of the big weapons are all in the main mission towards the end...
