Yikes! Should I be having second thoughts about this car? Seems might be wise to get a BRZ at least.

What the **** Toyota?

That would be ridiculous.

LOL Real things said in the past that people actually believed (may be paraphrased since I am not going looking for them)!

Subaru makes the BRZ out of the good cars and the FRS out of the ones they find issues with.

Engines that do poorly on the test dyno go to the Toyota cars.

Toyota doesn't know how to build these cars so the ones built in the Toyota plant are not as good.

They build the BRZs first then batch build the FRS cut turn up the line speed and reduce the quality checks.

The Subaru workers purposely damage the Toyotas

Subaru must be low key pissed off at Toyota for introducing the GR Corolla when Subaru canned the STI....
Those darn conquest sales!
But that would explain the second gen issues......

To explain the first gen, Subaru must have been pissed off at toyota for "making" them build a RWD car when their entire lineup consists of AWD, thus messing with the marketing department......that or the fact that Toyota wanted them to use the D4S system...which Subaru didnt want....

yeah that must be it...secret behind the scenes animosity between Subaru and Toyota because reasons.....

The narcissists on social media who can't resist showing everyone their exploits don't make things any easier. If you want to beat on your car that's fine but I don't see the point of advertising it.

the problem isnt social media posts, its scummy companies trawling through your digital life to find an excuse to deny your valid warranty claim.

As a father, is it scummy to trawl through my teenage daughter's boyfriend's social media life to make sure he hasn't voided her warranty?

As well as the guys that mod the shit out of their cars, drive the shit out of it and then when something breaks put it all back to sock, take it in and say " I don't know what happened I was taking my grandma to church and it just stopped running Ignore the overrevs, high temperatures and 20 hours of video of me bouncing off curbs while doing doughnuts".

There are scummy owners as well as scummy business practices. In fact many of what people think of as scummy practices were brought into place to deal with the scummy owners.
