A properly implemented pit cooks just as well and as evenly as a spit, without all the trouble of turning it. Like you though, I'll happily help get rid of "the evidence" from either one.

I will have to get a picture of the spit roaster that was cooked on. You can sort of see the front of it but it is spectacular. A check plate trailer with a 150 gallon aluminum transport truck gas tank cut in half. The spit has a fully powered 12v drive that turns and raises it so no manual work at all. Buddy of mine built it from scratch.

It is truly a work of art. Looking forward to more crispy parts and cheesy bread!

Oh what you saw was the Beta version. It has been through at least 8 revisions since then.
