Last night I learned that tostadas are way better if you cook the shells in lard rather than oil.

The only thing better than cooking in lard is cooking in lard you rendered yourself in your back yard in a huge cast iron cauldron.

I also learned that if you take one of these, cut it into 1 inch squares and fry them in lard, they are delicious. Good by themselves, or with some powdered sugar.

Fried ravioli is great as well. Buy the frozen ones (I prefer just cheese, but you can do it with stuffed) deep fry until brown and crispy.

I believe that is known as fried dough, which is my absolute favorite carnival/fair treat.

I eat whichever one is available where I go. Funnel cake is not common where I live compared to F.D so I mostly eat the latter. Powdered Sugar, with cinnamon and nuttela on top and I'm happy.
