Sorry, mate. This will annoy you even more. I only fill up about 6x a year and the BRZ is my daily.

I'm still on the same tank from last year.

That's cute. You still get an allowance. A nice one too.

We took our '04 Suburban (31 gallon tank) on a trip to the beach July 4th weekend. I don't recall the $/gallon but on one stop it took $120 to fill up after I had run the tank to somewhere less than a 1/4 tank. That's the most I've ever spent fueling it.

At the peak price in Atlanta in June ($5.04), it would have taken about $156 to fill it up from completely empty.

Slightly off-topic- I remember one trip I took on my '79 Yamaha RD400F (Daytona Special!) where the first leg was one long drone down the interstate. After about 150 miles at something slightly above the federally mandated 55MPH speed limit, I figured it was time to fill up the tank. 1.9 gallons is all it took. That works out to 79 MPG! I've never come close to that in any vehicle since. And now, back to the gas price discussion.

I got a best ever indicated 40.1 mpg (50-mile average) in my Buick on our July 4th trip. But I don't put a whole lot of faith in those calculations.

Yeah, it's basically a tax free "raise" that the company can write off as an expense. All management and department heads get it here. If I was living in my house it would cover my current fuel cost for the month as it is only about half the distance to work.

That is pretty good. Best I can manage out of my bike is around 60 cruising. Still only has a 3.6 gal tank though so riding it I essentially fill it every other day.

Yeah, I am begrudgingly doing the prep for what I was going to do before the meeting now. I came in early to rush to get things done, not be prepared for tomorrow
