Slackers!

Was there not a great race 2 weeks ago in Austria?

Those catastrophic blown engines are getting more intense.
Sainz almost lost the panels just before he stopped er.. rolled back.

Paul Ricard this weekend and it may be the last one in France for some time.

That section at my grocers that usually stocks ice cream was mostly empty last time I tried to buy some.
At least no one’s hoarding toilet paper anymore. Better stock up seems everyone will be getting some hot weather.

Wonder how that will affect the reliability and track conditions, the heat not the ice cream!

I’m like 3 races behind. Looks like another tough break for Sainz with the engine penalties. Seemed like he was really on it again.

It would have been cool to see Carlos qualify on pole, tow Charles to second, get bounced to the back of the field, and then pull a win out.

First to last to first. I suspect he could do it.

Im not a Ferrari fan boy since a few years of them messing with Vettel & the kindergarten strategies they some times manage to mess up.
But I have to say they where running at 100% today with teamwork & strategies getting their best man to pole.

You wonder sometimes about the propaganda the press generated about how Sainz believes he is the best at Ferrari yet knowing he was getting hit with starting at the back due to the engine penalty he rallied to give his team mate the best position for tomorrows contest, Much hope he gets to move into the points after his setback.

I was expecting the MERC boys would be at a level to give FER & RB some competition come race day but unless more catastrophic shenanigans happen up front they are off the podium.

I want some of that stuff that gets you dreaming like that!

… but I guess those Hollywood movies need to get their ideas somewhere.
He would need some crazy stuff to happen up front and in the pits to make that happen tomorrow.

Probably the Tramadol talking. But, we’ve seen guys get close to pulling something like this off this season. And, dreamins free. Lol

Alonso, Perez, and Button (x2) have done it in recent memory. Hamilton too if you count starting last in the sprint race in Brazil last year and storming up to first.

The way these cars are allowed to follow 3-4 yellows and good strategy and Sainz can be fighting for the win. But that's two rare things - more then 2 yellows and Ferrari not screwing the pooch.

Should have pitted Sainz with 20 to go. He would have popped out in 8th.

Didn't Sainz ask to be pitted this time? I remember hearing a radio message.

Yeah it was kinda late though. Guys were like Max and Lewis were discussing it at the 20 to go mark. It was a 27 sec total pit time. I don’t know why they didn’t bring him in earlier to give him more opportunity unless they were hoping for a full safety car. The gap still would have put him in the same spot.

Were the Ferrari strategists even watching the race?
Getting him to pit earlier would have saved his effort battling Perez, once he past Perez they should have
let him run a few laps in clean air to make up some time as he had the 5 Sec penalty hanging over his stop
or even run to the end if he felt tires were ok. They tell him to pit as he passes Perez wasting a lot of his effort…

Not a great day for PER.

I was proved wrong for the MERC boys, great race.

Kinda blown away the CL didn’t catch that oversteer. I think it surprised him. Bad setup?
