I like this much better. The crease and small vent (Se that Subaru and Toyota) in the corner break up that big flat part that was distracting.

I don't know about down there but up here they are advertising the living crap outta this car. There is a TV commercial on about every 10 minutes through primetime and that ain't cheap. The banner ads pop up every now and then for me and even the radio has ads running. If it doesn't sell it won't be for lack trying on their part!

I definitely think the corners and bottom portion are 100% better, but I'm just not sure about the split grill and that upper portion. I'll call it 50% better.

I don't mind the split. The top is a bit too squared off on the sides but nothing horrid.
Like it 100% better than either of the second gen twins fronts.
I would buy that car exactly as pictured in a heartbeat even if it is a Nisson.

I think you are slowly convincing me. The more I look at it, the more I think it's the headlights I don't car for but I know they were trying to give them a feel of the OG models.

Definitely agree I like it like this better than either of the newer twin.

Hard to tell but looks like there may be a small crease leading from the top of the upper grill back to the bottom corner of the headlights. Would help tie them together. Some views from different angles help.

Has running board aero not much better than the second gens but at least it ends in a better spot at the rear and doesn't look like a tacked on afterthought.

Definitely much better from the almost normal view angle.

Yep. Automotive photographers really need to buy tripods that are more than 8" tall.

the part i like about this is that it at least has some resemblance to a previous z model. the original front end has zero heritage at all, which is really weird with how much effort they put into the tail lights calling back on a previous model

Bumper deletes were pretty common in motorsports and among enthusiasts.

I know, and I always HATED that look! Just terrible. But yeah, that's what they were aiming for...

I competed in time trials with my 240Z for years, and even though there was no minimum weight for my class I kept the bumpers (sans vertical elements and rubber strips) solely because the bumperless look is so god-awful. Three class championships and one FTD with this car that I should never have let go

I like the Fairlady concept/special edition front end better back when it first appeared, but it's still not quite right. The "bumper" shouldn't evenly bisect the opening, it should be a little lower (like 2/3 of the way down). I think that would finish it off nicely.

i definitely think they spent 7/8's their exterior design budget on the rear portion and then said "CRAP!! CARS HAVE A FRONT!!"

Wow, I guess I didn't remember the early Zs having the same big ass ugly gapping grill as the new one. I feel slightly ashamed, but still don't like it.
