My exhaust is tilted
My left pipe leans out more than my right one.
Do you know how to make them even? Thank you! |

Bubba says just to stick a two foot long piece of waterpipe in the offending one, stick your foot up against the muffler and yank on it till it's straight.

Could just be your exhaust setup needs some adjustments. The Corsa system I ran had a similar issue I could fix by rotating the midpipe section slip joints up/down which effected the alignment of how far the one side poked.

Thanks, I prefer to try some adjustments than heat up some parts. I don't think that stock midpipe has slip joints, right?

My thought was the rear hangars not being centered on their post.

The only way to correct is to bend them, with the risk of snapping them...

OK, here is the humfrz method. Take your car up to a muffler shop and tell them how you want them to look. Sit back in the customer lounge and read part of a car magazine. When they are finished, inspect them to make sure they are the way you want them. Pay them, don't worry about how much it costs - the job is done - right? Go home, have a beer and take a nap. |

Ahh Italy, such great memories... such a beautiful country!
But as I recall from all the magnificent statues, one side always hangs a little lower than the other!

Thank you very much for your appreciation! Unluckily Italy is a beautiful place, stuck in bureaucracy and corruption...
Every exhaust has to be ECE approved, so muffler artisans are out of the market... |
