The car is going through an exterior/interior refresh. Sold the Ings+1 carbon hood, Varis side skirts and the custom carbon interior.
Started fabricating a one-off carbon hood that will be lighter than the OEM aluminum one and will focus on heat extraction. Other carbon projects will follow.

There's no turning back now.

The top aluminum part is 7.5 lbs and its carbon counterpart 2.5lbs. As you can see I will be reusing the bottom shell.

Now I can start cutting holes for the carbon vents I made plus another one to extract the heat from the turbo.

Thank you for posting the weights, I've been wanting to do this for a while. How many layers of carbon did you end up using?

I used 4 layers of 3k 2x2 twill weave carbon with infused resin

I need to get back on Instagram so I can follow along again. We've talked a bit before on there, I think I went by 86x86x86 and my car was orange with a custom widebody at the time. Glad to see some new stuff for the car.

Working on the Aerocatch hood pins

Made some carbon brackets so that I could mount them flush to the surface, race car style

What's up man! Thank you for your message. My 86 project is very much alive. I recently started designing my own parts that will eventually make their way into my car in carbon form.
