Having just watched the Starfield clip I'm again thinking I want a new pc.
Something that irks me, just a little (because it's just a game), is the inane comments by npc baddies. From the clip "your're going to pay for that!".
I liked the bit from the clip "you can choose your own crew". Cool, a crew of 15 females based entirely on physical attributes. And because one can build one's own spaceship it would be unfortunate if there was only one sleep pod.

I haven't played a true PC game in about 4 months now. Spending way too much time playing the Arcade build I mentioned above. Played all the way through some arcade games that would have been impossible (for me) in a real arcade.

An example, Smash TV, would have taken me probably $50 to play all the way through 1 quarter at a time.

Unfortunately, I discovered you can't configure the software to alternate between an arcade joystick/button setup and a game controller. That makes playing old console games impossible. So, now I'm thinking of setting off on a second build that would use PS4 or Xbox controllers connected to a PC for playing old Atari, Coleco, and NES, SNES, N64 and Gameboy games.

I still need to build my VR FlightSim setup as well.

I may have to retire now just to have time for my video game addiction.

Im a miner 30 GPU's all my cards are run efficiently with voltage and core underclocked as much as possible. And replace all Memory thermal pads with better quality ones to keep temps low. And I have 4 year old Polaris cards that have been non-stop mining since then with no issues.

Its like buying a used car you can buy a high mileage car that has been taken care of and get many more miles out of it. Or buy from a junkie that ran it into the ground.

You'd have to be truly desperate to not buy a new GPU. Hell, you can even upgrade from what you initially wanted to buy. A brand new 3080 at MSRP these days is a steal, and you'd be set for some good time.

Re-Started Skyrim, for God knows what time now. Since I have the one with all the DLCs, I forgot how much I hated the Vampire quests, which you need to get out of the way fast because else they kill important characters which prevents you from doing other quests.

This time around I went heavy on an assassin build (Sneak, Bow). With a focus on Chemistry, which I must say is really fun because I get excited every time I find a new rare ingredient. I should probably also go on survival mode to make things even more interesting.

This is why I went with a pre-built last May. By the time I added everything up, a nice pre-built was pretty close to doing it yourself.

That build I shared, I bought from Skytech for $2800. At that time last year a 3080 was $1500+ if you could get one.
