It has been well established on this forum that techs can only possibly know one make of car at a time.

Pretty sure the repair industry controls this!

That is the reason that I will only let a Toyota tech touch the engine in my FR-S.

I was a Yamaha tech. So I guess I should stop working on my car and stick to motorcycles and the SHO Taurus.

Nah, since Yamaha developed or co-developed some of Toyota's best engines including the 4A-GE (AE86 and MR2), 2UR-GSE V8, the 2ZZ-GE and a few others I think you're good to go.

Back the the Subaru engine thing though! There are only 100 qualified Subaru techs in North America.
Everybody else is all "well there's your problem them there piston things are sticking out sideways and all the compression is draining out".
