So weird to dismiss that and go back to the thinking before for all these diseases that never effected our shores like Ebola, zika, etc. I had the impulse to be 5% cautious and go about my day. If someone mentioned it, at least I knew.

Here we are with 1m+ dead from Covid and that 5% that allowed a tiny compartment in my head was exactly what I thought December 2019. May 2022, monkey pox allows 15% but holy shit do changing times not really change anything.
