So my car is on jack stands during the slow track season and I sent the calipers and coil-overs out for fresh rebuilds. Coil-overs left Wednesday, Dec 8th headed from Tampa to California, Thursday tracking showed in Jacksonville, then tracking stopped...

Got notification yesterday from UPS that my shipment has been impacted by severe weather...no other info

I have a feeling that my coil-overs may have gone to Oz somewhere in the tornado outbreak last Friday....especially since UPS's hub is in KY....

Yay, my coilovers made it to KW!

Got calipers rebuilt and back from Essex already. Replaced the MXP header, overpipe and Berk front pipe with JDL units yesterday. Removed the carpet and the entire A/C system...productive off-season so far...hope to have it back on track Jan 28-30th at Sebring!

So still waiting on getting my coil overs back for KW....what was initially quoted as a 10-15 business day turnaround has been thrown out of whack by covid....now estimated return date is March...

So, I'll be hitting the track this weekend on a set of borrowed KW V3's with 7k/8k springs...have no experience on this setup and winged the settings...what could go wrong?

Welp, I didn't die...LOL

The KW V3 are completely different that the RCE Tarmac II's, they are quite a bit softer in the rear and I was getting a ton of understeer in the 1st 2 runs. Softened up the front and stiffened the rear for the next runs and did manage a 2:35.750 on a set of 10 event, heat cycled Nankang AR1's with the car still pushing. Not horrible, would need some more tweaking and probably would be withing my liking. Still can't wait for the RCE T2's to come back...

Been quiet for a few months...car has been to Sebring a few times. Recently was asked to test a set of development coil overs from Ohlins, this is a dedicated track system that has not been released based on the Road & Track design. It includes 9K springs front & rear, spherical upper mounts and valving developed on the Ohlins shaker rig. These will be installed tomorrow, car off for alignment & corner balance next week and then to the track to see how they perform. Expect a full report after I report to Ohlins. I also developed my own stronger, upgraded sway bar mounts for them...

Wowow! Those track spec Ohlins have me drooling... and your reinforced endlink mount too!!! Did Ohlins say they are trying to release these this year? Ready to throw away my R&T Ohlins for these in a heartbeat.

I honestly don't know what Ohlin's timeline is on these, but I'll be getting feedback to Ohlins after each test day.

Summit Point testing last weekend with the Ohlins prototype's!

Ohlins were very nuetral, did not get upset by the curbing at all and paired well with the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar R3 tires I was running. There is easily another 1-2 seconds out there. I'm likeing these more an more each time I take them out. Shooting for a sub 2:31.000 at Sebring this fall....
