Didn’t know Nessie can be found in GT7. I guess it’s been there since GT5

Did anyone else sign up for the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup? Started last night and they didn't waste any time ramping up the difficulty. The SF19 Formula car at Spa
That was NOT easy!Annoyingly, the car's physics felt differently when I came into the room to qualify. I had spent around 90 minutes practicing in "free run" but when it was time to actually compete I felt like the car was understeering more. Has anyone else ever experienced that? I got used to it, and managed to qualify 4th of 16 for the 20:00 race. And by the 2nd lap I was in last place due to many self inflicted f*ck ups Finished 10th. Thankfully, unlike in life, you can get a do-over haha. So I signed up for the 21:00 race as well. My qualifying time was 0.300 seconds faster, but this group was faster too so I took P7 to start. A few people bogged the start and I was able to shoot up to 4th place before Eau Rouge. And this time, zero screw ups! I was able to fend off any challengers behind me and eventually had a 10+ second advantage over 5th. The race leader, who had qualified over a second faster than me (sheesh) apparently got into a scuffle with the other front runners and dropped back close to me. I was able to get a run on him on a few of the straights but never made a move because I knew he'd repass me eventually and would just throw off my racing lines. Very happy to bring it home in 4th.

Wasn't expecting an SF19 car in that championship. Assumed it was just going to be the GR86 and GR Supra. I can never make the race times, so I don't bother entering.

I don't own a winged formula car in the game, so getting ready for this race was a massive adjustment for me. Hopefully I'll do better with the GT street based cars.

I described it as a lag. It manifested as a slight increase in sluggishness and/or decrease in grip. When many cars were close together on track in an online race, it was like the calculations for where they all should be and how your car moved got sloppier. It felt like there was an increase in calculation error that resulted in slower cars. Once the pack spaced out a bit it would diminish. I knew it didn't have to do with tires warming up or dirty air or anything because it wouldn't happen at all in races with small fields even when the pack was all close. GT6 quick match was pretty sparsely populated at times. Good job in the races though, especially with knowing your limits and running a smart race. Reading through your experience tempts me to come back to it a little |

Hahah, I dunno? In the 80s and 90s F1 was basically impossible to watch as a kid. So I watched CART, and thus got Penske Marlboro vibes from the livery.

Is it just me or GT’s weight shaving doesn’t change the driving character? Example, stock RCF is fatass. If you do weight reduction, weight way less than stock 86/BRZ. Even w that, still drive like fatass. I get the RCF & 86/BRZ are different and physics are different… but still disappointed
Also didn’t know we had this many Easter eggs Last edited by ichitaka05; 05-16-2022 at 10:39 PM. |
