I seem to remember Whiteline just sold their WRX offset top hats for the Twins, but the Twins had a greater angle between the top hat and the strut. This was fairly common for the Twins at the beginning, where other Subaru models' aftermarket parts were sold as-is because they kinda fit, but that often ended poorly. Luckily we have plenty of custom made Twin parts now.

Is there a detailed DIY install for these? Does the strut assembly need to come out for install?

Any of the strut install DIYs here is basically the same. Struts must come out. Subaru recommends new nuts for the 3 on the top hat and the one on top of the strut. Don't turn the strut top nut without holding the shaft. I used a pass through socket and an allen key. I also used new bolts and nuts on the bottom.

Kind of necro but maybe someone will find it usefull as I wanted to find this info myself lately:
On 2023 GR86 I've managed to get -3,19° and -3,01° with those mounts, SPC 81305 in lower strut hole, OEM Subaru 14mm bolt in upper hole and Eibach Pro-Kit (E10-82-097-01-22)
Posting this because not many people shared their alignment with set of those and lowering springs.

Same setup, same kind of results here.

Car feels a bit more oversteery now. It’s great in the slow corners—really easy to get it to rotate. But like always, there's a trade-off: in the fast stuff, you’ve got to be super smooth with the steering or it gets sketchy.

I’m sure with a bigger aero setup it’d feel more balanced and be quicker overall, but I’m not really up for spending the time or money on that right now. I could mess with sway bars or tire pressures too, just not in the headspace to start tweaking things yet.

What wheel/tire spec were you running with this alignment?

Stock 18's with 10mm spacer and 17x8+35 JR SL01s on 225/45 CRS for track wheels at that time. No clearance issues
