This thread is turning into an official squeak/ rattle thread and is slightly concerning to me considering the cars are mostly low mileage and a few months old.

Anyone also getting an annoying rattle from what it seems to be right below the headunit? I've tried pushing on the plastics and surrounding areas to see if it'll stop but with no luck. It's really the only rattle that's consistent and it's quite bothersome.

Try removing everything from your glovebox and see if it changes. I thought it was coming from below the head unit, and discovered it had to do with the weight of the items in the glovebox, specifically the brown binder holding all the manuals.

I have a feeling what you are hearing is the tweet sound from the AC compressor kicking in. Next time turn off and on you AC when you are driving and see if it comes on. My AC compressor makes that exact noise you are describing.

But there's nothing in the glove box, except for an iPod cable. I could try putting some weight in and see if it stops.

I have something that sounds pretty similar to your rattle, though I notice I will only start getting this rattle going after the car has been sitting out in the heat for a bit. The only way I could quiet the rattling was to push up on the little cubby hole by the push start, though I am still stumped as to what it is.

Also, I have tried removing my manual binder, leaving only some papers in the glovebox. This unfortunately doesn't make the rattle go away.

I've got a rattle coming from the trim around the climate controls. I had the car in already once and the dealer told me they didn't hear it, which is odd considering that it rattles every single time I hit a bump in the road. I'm taking the car back this Friday for the same noise among others.

I get my car in 3 weeks and all these squeaks and rattles are disconcerting. I'm coming from an Acura TSX which is silent in the interior - Literally nothing has rattled for 100K miles.

After putting something in the glove box (My window glass bottle. lol. It's the only heavy thing I had in the car that would fit) the noise is much less, if at all. I'll try it again tomorrow with perhaps the owners manual or something of that weight.

Just posting to say I've had my car for 2 months now, and not a single rattle besides the speaker grille (which is my own fault). So, not all of us are having issues. :P

I've got 2500 miles on my GBS Limited 6MT, and I have not a single rattle or squeak anywhere in the vehicle. I also have none of the other issues other people have reported, like the taillight condensation, idle variation, etc, except for the nav portion of the head unit being flaky WRT satellite acquisition. I am thoroughly happy with my purchase.

Do you use ethanol free gas? I have a feeling people who have access to ethanol free gas has a lot fewer issues with vibrations/rattles because the engine runs smoother so nothing gets vibrate loose from the rough engine.
