Regardless, enjoy! My 6800XT has been awesome. ACC even added support for FSR, getting me in the 110+ FPS range on triple 1440p so yeah.
My latest build doesn't even have a GPU in it!

I think is a combination of all. Supply chains are easing and tax for exports are better. Next gen is a give or take because it takes any new component some time for the prices to stabilize. DDR5 RAM is still pretty high so that gives you an idea.

Thanks! I forgot about FSR! I just hope I don't run into many issues once I switch drivers from NVIDIA to AMD.

In other news. The new AMD CPU, Ryzen 7 5800X3D is an absolute gaming monster. I should've definitely not gotten the 5950X. In a gaming-focused build, this is the perfect CPU. Max TDP was 130W during testing.

Skip to 1:30 to see the difference.

I was getting BSoD's related to overclocking even with everything disabled (PBO2, Scalar, etc). I disabled the "Enhancement mode" and never seen any BSoD ever again.
Probably is for getting better benchmark results in reviews.

Edit: Just found a Jayz2cents YT clip about Asus enabling OC mode's by default (4 years old)

Weird that none of the boards I've come across ever had it turned on.
I wouldn't consider MCE overclocking anyway. Same with XMP. It just lets all the cores run at max turbo clock.
It has never been a problem in any of the computers I've built. sounds like you got a shit CPU. (edit: not a shit CPU by choice. Shit as in bad/low quality manufactured)

I wondered waiting on a different build I'm wrapping up... Upgrade to the gaming rig, or just run what I have becaipuse it's plenty. In the end, enough of what I do is single threaded that I decided it wasn't worth the wait or the cash.
Next gen will be even faster...

Make sure you get the price difference between 5800X3D and i9-12900KS. Just to be sure lol.

It isn't a shit CPU, it does 4,9 GHz if I do it manually. It just BSoD's when the Asus mode is turned on.
Atm it runs at 4,5 Ghz @ 1.2 Vcore without any problems.

Im stocked because paired with the 5950X I’m going to be set for years to come. Might need to upgrade the PSU to 850W Fully Modular.

If you're not doing heavy overclocking you're fine with a quality 6-700 watt psu.

I currently run an rm850x with a 6900xt, 5900x, rx480 on a big water loop with lots of fans 3x hdds and 2x nvme drives. At peak I believe I pull ~650 from the wall.
