I Need a Feel on The FA24 Bling. Poll inside!
I'm not much for engine bling, but that plastic cover in the middle just isn't doing it for me, but what I want doesn't matter. What do you guys want?
Standing height in front Close up Angle Some more details on the parts... The top panels are all made from Laser Cut 304 Stainless Steel. Powder Coated or Hydro Dipped. The Powder Coated versions then are Laser Etched down to the Stainless. The mounts are all turned, then machined from 6061, and the hardware used (button heads and washers) are all Stainless Steel. . My honest opinion: your options look a bit cheesy.

All opinions welcome
![]() Dress up stuff is not an arena we're not super familiar with and we needed to start somewhere. For me, I tried to put something together at a reasonable price point. So what you see is simple for a reason. I thought about doing some kind of carbon fiber or titanium piece, and more form fitting, but I don't see any sane person plunking down a few hundred for something like that. I think most BRZ/GR86 owners are watching price point closely. Maybe I'm wrong? |

Same.
But I've never really been one for dress up stuff. In 1999, when I was a junior in high school we were figuring out stuff like we could put the larger throttle body off the KA24 on to the VG30 in my '88 300ZX. |

the 1st gen had the same 'issue'. no one really did much with that one either, other than just painting the oem cover.
this is an alternative, which makes for twice as many options as the 1st gen ever had. personally, i really see this piece more as a finishing touch on a brand-specific SEMA booth car than a marketable product to the masses. i think a larger piece that flows into the intake runners might look a little more intentional, and less reminiscent of 'painted flat sheet metal'

Something that has an integrated mount to the two nearby AOS would look purposeful and more in line with the no frills nature of the car. Thats my own opinion.
I have a GR86 RC version which doesnt have this panel and i am happy without. |

Y..eeeah .. well,
it doesn't really DO anything, other than advertising. I'd be more likely to just take off the Scuby/Toyo advertising cover to save weight and leave the hood closed. Maybe remove the hood prop too. A broomstick in the garage works fine. Stickers for that?
