Billetworkz Short Shifter

Installed the Billetworkz short shifter paired with one of their weighted shift knobs in the GR86 and it feels amazing!

How'd you decide to go with this one over the TRD?

The Billetworkz shifter gives you a 30% shorter shift while the TRD option only shortens it by 10%. It was a significant difference with the Billetworkz shifter whereas the TRD one was a bit more subtle.

Does the JDM TRD short shifter also reduce it only by 10%? I was under the impression that one was different from the US one.

But nice to know.

Billetworkz Short Shifter

Neat. This will also allow you to use old shift knobs on the new cars.

I do wonder how much closer to the driveshaft the bottom of the shifter gets though.

The USDM one isn't really a short shifter. Its a "quick shifter"

I honestly only used JDM because I've seen in the past for the first gen that there were differences between the US and JDM TRD short shifters apparently

I installed one in my kids 2023 BRZ Saturday, today this happened. He's only driven it twice. Did some searching on the interwebs apparently others have had this happen as well.
