Aside from the European FF menu, the Japanse AWD was a blast. Why? Because I took an R32 and went fckn bananas with it, modded to oblivion, which was completely unnecessary, no regrets. Topped off at 210MPH in what it is now one of favorite tracks, Mount Panorama.

I love the fact that I get a little better after every completing the License tests. My racing line has improved and don't have to follow the braking zones as much as the game recommends, sometimes just have to do a slight left foot brake, or just coast and drop a gear.

You also get a free sneak-peak and test drive of exotic cars you can't afford yet.

Yeah only 1st and 2nd gear work for me, have to use the paddles. So after some research online I found that the shifter is analog. I guess that's obvious since it's an RS232 connector but it didn't dawn on me until I read it. This means it's just another joystick . This means it knows what 'gear' you are in by the position but it's a general position not an on/off switch. Long story short is it needs to be calibrated. I have no idea how to do that in GT7 (and/or in playstation menus?)... If you find out how let me know.

Interesting. The only fix I found so far is kind of making sure I have the gear fully in place. I tend to get carried away by quick shifting, so 3rd sometimes is barely engaged, or sometimes I don't fully press the clutch. Ever since I started doing that I haven't really had any further issues. I do tend to engage 3rd instead of 5th from time to time. Happened twice yesterday. I would say semi-slam the gear in place, just don't do it Fast and Furious style, I'm not fully confident on the build quality lol.

Great news about the upcoming update!

However, now the dilemma is what to do in the meantime? I don't want to slug through events I have no interest in currently and get a lower payout than if I just wait a week and get maybe twice as many credits?

Hmmmm

What about redoing the races and championships you have already completed? Good way to learn the tracks more and get some money while doing it. I mean, that's what the circuit experience is supposed to do, but might as well save the higher payout. Haha

Honestly, cars being able to be sold is one of the single biggest things that would improve it in my opinion. There are so many cars I don't care about that I'd rather sell off to fund cars I do care about.

I bet that the value of the cars you sell will only be a small fraction of the value as if you were to go buy it brand new or used.

Certainly, but better than having a useless car sitting in the garage forever. This if they mean allowing to sell gifted cars. Which I suppose might be unlikely. They may only mean purchased cars, which would be unfortunate.

That's how it was in say, GT2. It was probably 20% of what you purchased the car for. But that's better than nothing.

Now, I wonder if you sell a car, does that get rid of it from your acquisition list? I plan to keep all the cars and just sell any duplicates of cars I don't care for or don't necessarily want doubles of. For example, I'll have two of the Turn14 Drift BRZ eventually since I believe you win it in either a mission book or license, and I already won one from a roulette ticket.

Good point, in Gran Turismo Sport, you couldn't sell gifted cars, only discard them.

So like that time I was 11 years old or something and went to sell my rare color gameboy color to EB Games, got $8 for it, and then several years later saw them selling the same kind for like $60 or more?

Would be nice to also be able to sell parts. Like for some cars if you only plan to race them in high PP races at this point, you hardly need the basic suspension or tires, etc.
