Fer sure fer sure. Brings to mind back in the day down in Greenville, Mississippi. We had a field research station near the river. I spent a week down there helping out the manager during his busy season. Come about 6 PM a couple of his technicians would go down along the river and go "hand grabbing" for catfish. I had to go along to see this because I didn't believe it.

Sure enough those ol boys would slip out of this old wooden boat into the water and stick their arms in the holes along the bank till they got hold of a catfish then toss it up in the boat. They asked me if I wanted to try but I declined by telling them it was because I didn't have an out of state fishen license.

When we got back to the station they cleaned the catfish and tossed them into a large cooler along with ice and soda pop they always had.

When we got to the managers home his wife breaded and deep fried them along with a bunch of hush puppies while we sat under the big shade tree in the back yard, drinking beer, sweating and feeding the mosquitoes.

Now, THATS the way to eat catfish -
