Haha, not related at all. They usually order their cars with trunk carpet, wheel locks, and rear bumper appliqué. I opted out of the rear bumper appliqué. So if you don't want any of the options, let him know ahead of time so he can catch it before it gets installed at the port. So are you gonna get it from Crown? Anyway, let me know if you have any more questions, and you're welcome!

Yup! That's where ill be heading sometime this week. Unfortunately i have to put a deposit which is no biggie. I definitely opted out of the applique but the wheel locks and carpet i might actually keep. Well see how it goes... hopefully everything turns out smooth and he does keep his words especially since Ontario is a tad bit of a drive.

But maybe this issue is better left to another thread.
From what the manager at the dealership I bought from(Gosch Toyota/Scion in Hemet) told me was that Scion is specifically going after those dealerships with dealer markups on any of their Scions. By going after them he said something like 10k dollar fines for each car marked up as well as reimbursing those people who purchased their cars with a markup. I'm not sure if there is any truth to this but it may be something to look into. He said Scion had an emergency meeting with all of the managers in So. Cal. and put many of them in their place. I would honestly call Scion customer support and report the dealers if this is the case.

if any of you are in the San Diego area, and interested in FR-S but haven't been able to take a test drive, stop by Kearny Mesa. They have a dedicated Hot Lava FR-S (6MT) available for test drives, it's all covered with stickers marketing the car's features. Since it's a demo car and not to be sold as a new car, you are free to thrash it and test out its abilities. I actually live in NorCal but had not been able to test drive either a BRZ or FRS yet, so while I was down in the area visiting I stopped in and took the FR-S for a test drive. Sales guy "Buddy" was very nice and let me take it around town and on the highway, even helpfully pointing out which curves and ramps I could use to really test out the handling. I've decided to order a BRZ instead but if you are interested in the FR-S, Buddy said they are selling at MSRP but you do have to place an order, which means about a 8-12 week wait. Since he was a nice guy to deal with and you can get exactly what you want, I thought I would at least put a good word out for him.

I kept the trunk carpet and wheel locks. My car came in about 2 1/2 weeks which was great compared to Longo Toyota in El Monte. I left a deposit at Longo on May 3rd and didn't hear anything from them since. Anyway, congrats! And don't forget to tell them Ray referred you

Awesome! I called him earlier and he said he'll take care of you. I hope you have a great experience like I did.

If I could add- anyone in the Westminster, CA area do *NOT* buy anything from Elmore Toyota they are horribly unprofessional, try to mark up the car, try to sell you leather seats before they are even installed in the car- Let me tell you, when we first sat down they asked 37,500 for a Manual Red FR-S w/ Bespoke and 3M Paint Protection on the front... Reason being they said $5,000 markup + $3,700 leather seats (that weren't even installed yet just "on order")

Lol I ended up getting the car at base + upgrades price and also a free lo-jack because they fucked up my contract 4 times making me come back to the dealership each time. One of those fuck ups was on MY down payment they tried to steal over 600 dollars from me so my monthly payments would be higher thinking I wouldn't notice...

If any dealers give you an issue or do things out of line- report them to Scion HQ and they will get shit fixed for you pretty quickly, even got me free lo-jack install.

They had a $6.5k markup on a WRB MT deluxe a week or two ago. They are telling customers that they plan to do a $5k markup on the others.
