But at the cost of extra stress, hassle, and time. It comes down to what you value your time and sometimes sanity.

Cleaned up the engine bay a bit today. Thinking of a bit more engine bay bling, maybe a Mishimoto inlet tube and a K & N drop in filter. I’ve read it gives a few more hp, a little sceptical of this but it’ll clean up the engine bay a bit by getting rid of the sound tube.

Did the door stay modification today. Quite easy to do thanks to advice on this forum.
Doors no longer auto close onto my legs.

Then, again after advice here, I used a hand sucker to remove excess oil from the sump via the dipstick tube. Really didn't want to get ramps and stands for such a simple job. Removed half a litre and the oil level is now just over the top mark, hot or cold. Much happier with it now.

Don't know about the Mishimoto, but I have some experience with the K&N. At the old Bridgehampton course, I used to run from corners 4 and 5 all the way in 4th gear in my normally aspirated 944. With a K&N, I had to use 5th. That's the only change I made in the car.

Yeah. I will have time, quite a lot of time and I'll get some numbers from the dealer as we approach the end of the year, and go from there.

Now its putting few miles on it, and keeping it sweet.

Cheers! Ironically didn’t touch those yesterday, did give the car a hose down on the weekend, usually do after most drives, so it stays pretty clean.

Hmmm OK, so it sounds like it made a meaningful difference.

but then on the flip-side, nohavemsg has some experience where the higher-flowing filters destroyed dirt bike motors because the filters didn't filter enough anymore

Hadn’t seen this done before, but I removed the factory dead pedal and installed a kartboy one. The holes on the Kartboy are .5” further apart than stock, but luckily the twins have a second, higher hole that is perfect for mounting.

OK. Has anyone on here had related problems with the twins though from dropping in a high flow filter? From what I’ve read K & N seem pretty reputable. But I guess there’s always a risk though, right?

Does this fix the squishy-ness of the stock dead pedal?
