Sold - AP Racing by Essex Sprint Brake Kit for Gen 1 and GR86 - New in Box

Up for sale is a new in box set of AP Racing brakes by Essex. These are the lightest brakes you can buy for the Gen 1 and Gen 2 GR86 platform. Note that these are not Gen 2 BRZ compatible.

Essex Designed AP Racing Competition Sprint Brake Kit (Front CP8350/299)- Gen 1 Subaru BRZ / Gen 1 Scion FR-S / Gen 1 and Gen 2 Toyota GT86

Ferodo DS1.11

Discs Pre-burnished/bedded in Ferodo Pad Compound

I bought these early hoping they would fit. My loss is your gain.

I've also been following the Essex thread, so sorry to hear that.

I may be mistaken, but I think the only difference is the bracket, right? Due to the aluminum knuckle? If you contact Essex, maybe they could send you a new bracket?

If the entire caliper is revised for the BRZ, then yes I guess it wont fit

I went down this rabbit hole with them. It seems to be more than a bracket. They're not willing to swap out the pieces or even sell them individually. So, my loss is someone else's gain.

Seller is incredibly trustworthy. Great guy. Someone is going to get a nice discount on a fantastic brake package.

I'm a newbie in 86 chassis. How does this compare to Stoptech c43 kits?

Stoptech calipers are a bit lighter. Rotors are bigger which helps with heat dissipation, but come at a weight penalty. And the Stoptech c43 is a lot more expensive.

For street, autox and light track, you can't beat the value and performance of AP Racing brakes.
