I knew it. Maybe that’s why all the base 3/5 series BMW owners slap M badges all over their cars

I have been looking at the TRD kit and key cover, but didn't want to pay the crazy shipping charge from JapanParts.
Not available through the dealer, and when I called the local Dealer Help Line they had no idea about them or when we might see them over here -_-

I'd say most of the north american dealerships won't import JDM goods over for you and would use the excuse that the products have not been tested in North America. Your options are usually limited to importing yourself (usually cheapest) or pay a retailer to do so for you (usually end up costing what you'd pay if you imported yourself plus their markup since they need to make money too) have you looked into Blackhawkjapan? I find their pricing and shipping tends to be better than japanparts and definitely beats out nengun. For large parts it's better to make a single large orders to minimize shipping. The front and rear bumpers will cost most to ship so you can pair front bumper with side skirts and wait for next season to get the rear bumper along with a catback or something

I work for a dealer haha. We just don't have them available to us to sell. Part numbers don't work in our system and getting someone at corporate level to help out is very difficult. Most don't want to deal with it. Shipping was $1700 from Black Hawk. Prices are better than JapanParts, but still not low enough for me to jump on them.

You might get lucky and stumble upon the gunmetal version of those forged wheels when they're on sale. I got a set last July and they cost me $1147.48. I got them from a Toyota dealer about 50 miles from my house.

Did you check the weight of the alloys before fitting tyres? The bronze ones are supposedly 17lbs which is pretty light

The TRD forged wheels knocked 4 lbs. off the weight at each corner compared to the weight of the OEM set. I weighed the entire wheel/tire/TPMS/balancing weights/center cap assembly.
