I feel the Evo does alright. It just becomes a question of if I want to risk damaging the body kit. The answer today was nope. Hindsight... it wasn't too smart to buy a winter beater and then dump a bunch or aero onto it. ![]() I've pretty much given up on finding a Lunar Rock TRD Pro with a 6 speed now. Just sitting around to see what the 2023 brings for both the Taco and the Colorado ZR2 at this point. if they bump the interior up and add the basics on the next gen it'll happen. Seriously GM. Why doesn't a 60k truck include keyless entry and push start in 2021!

taco has it's own weird quirks as well. like having keyless entry, but only the drivers door has the sensor on it, for a vehicle that cost 20k more new than the 86 that has it on both doors. also need to be completely stopped for a good 10 seconds to turn traction control 80% off. i also found the stock radio to have obliteratingly loud bass, teenage-angst-level, even on the lowest eq settings. but i fixed that with a new radio.
lol, i used to play the "i'll just get a beater for a while, and leave it alone" mind game. i figured out it'll never work when i borrowed my dad's ranger for a planned 6 months, and by 2 months in it had 4 new speakers and a replacement stereo in it.

Friendly reminder that if you haven't done so, make reservations for a restaurant, if you're planning on going out. Or start thinking what you'll cook for your significant other. If you're getting roses, start making calls. If you're getting a gift online, order soon due to delayed USPS times.
Or if you don't buy into all that hallmark stuff, carry on. If there isn't someone, Steam has a Lunar year sale

Well, I've been working on an iPhone app. The past couple days I've been scratching my head trying to consider how to solve a problem. Basically Apple provides certain access/API's you can use. But for something I'm using, they don't apparently provide a way to persist the data from a particular API for it.
I'd been going through the official docs just to make sure I didn't miss something. And then I also thought of an alternative solution that can partially do what I want but with only a part of the data from the API. So I went to a couple forums like Stackoverflow and another one for iPhone app development and posted a fairly well-written post stating what I wanted to do, what I've tried, what the Apple dev docs say (along with a link to them), and spelled out that alternative idea but that I hadn't tried it. People start replying but rather than discussing the technical problem I carefully laid out, they just complain about the user experience instead and how what I'm doing shouldn't be done that way (despite many apps doing very similar things lol). So I got a bit more defensive than I would've liked and replied to complain that they're busy providing unsolicited feedback instead of helping me with the actual problem. And of course one guy replies to me again about that and says I'm getting too combative or whatever but maybe I should try doing "X" method, which just so happens to be the alternative idea I had already described in my post. Which means the guy decided to just basically waste my time. And across the two forums I posted to, three people replied in total and all complaining about the same thing. So at the end of it I get basically zero real help or constructive discussion and then because I got offended about that I became overly argumentative about it, which makes me look like an ass.

While I've never actually posted to stackoverflow or the many, many similar sites, I hold my nose and cringe every time I resort to "the community" for guidance. I can't tell you how many times I've searched in vain only to happen upon exact copypastas of broken, useless scripts, sometimes posted years apart. SMH
