Lol I bet you'll be able to pick up used modern GPUs for a few bucks after crypto crashes. Not that I would buy anything off a crypto asshole for any price. They are worse than scalpers.

Yea, same here. Even when I buy/build a new PC I am usually no more than n-1 generation on the hardware. There are quickly diminishing returns going above that.

In a way, cars are the same. Sure, you can buy a car for several hundred thousand (or 2.5M) dollars that will outperform a little over $100K, but unless you are racing for money and promoters, is the the incremental cost really worth, say the difference between a Z06 Corvette and a McLaren Senna or even a 720S?
Some will say yes, but I don't see it.

Prices on GPUs seem to be going down with all the regulation that looms the crypto market. Still a long way to go, but is a step in the right direction.

It will be a while until gamers are able to take full advantage of the performance gains of the newer generation. Just like people rushing into windows 11, they're taking performance cuts here and there, and a minimal performance gain in other places.

I've been running W11 since it was first available, and really haven't seen issues or improvements that are "eye measurable". I'm sure benchmarks would prove me wrong though, but it isn't something I can see.

Same here, frame rates are virtually unaffected between the 2 OS’s for me.

The benchmarks show very little gains to the level that even if there was, you wouldn't notice it. I'll see in a year or so once developers start optimizing W11.

The thing about tech is....that shit gets outdated a year after you get it.

the chip makers were for the longest time on a 6 month cycle (new gen > 6 months later a refresh > 6 months later a new gen). It might have stretched out to 1 year cycles nowadays but im not so sure.

So you can have your 5000 dollar Ryzen 3 threadripper based CPU and Radeon 6900XT and in a years time its all completely obsolete because now a 6 core Ryzen 4 series CPU and a Radeon 7900 non XT is faster than your 5000 dollar build at half the price.

Obviously with that much horsepower it'll realistically last like 10 years before its actually obsolete....but you get my drift.

So you pretty much jump in whenever you want...and not try to wait for the "latest and greatest"......just cuz theres new stuff right around the corner and discontinued product might see some nice discounts.

Anyone here have mods on A.C? I currently have the CSP which is required for a lot of mods, Shutoku R.P tracks and vehicles. Im trying to get a hold of an Mt. Akina mod but can't seem to find a reliable source. Any other mods you'd suggest?

I've just finished the main story in Dying Light and the Following dlc for the 3rd time. That brings me up to 422 hours playtime.
Presently preloading DL2. I'm thinking I will get a lot of value out of this game.
Releases on Friday and I hoping my good wife is at work on that day.
