I don't plan on doing much else in the way of mods, and since it won't be a dd I can handle the cold starts. What I can't understand though is, at least up here in Canada, the Corsa is $700 more than the Borla

It's the same in the US. The Corsa is currently ~ $1100 and the Borla is ~ $760.

The borla is honestly a nice exhaust, and weighs much less than stock. I'm debating on going back to the Borla; but I really wish it had a muffler in the traditional spot for the subtle aero it provides.

You can get crackle pops just with a catback?
Now I’m interested in getting a catback. Otherwise was thinking of keeping it stock.

I have the Corsa on a 2020 and have never noticed any pop/bangs.

Yes, I had them with the stock system too, although faint and quicker then.

Here is the MXP SP catback pop

I also inquired with Perrin about the 2.5" and all they told me was that they are working on getting a 2022 version out ASAP.

Borla has a diffuser that attaches to their exhaust for the gen 1 cars. Wonder if they'll come out with a Gen 2 part (or if the Gen 1 part can be trimmed to fit).

I had that part on my original NA build; its awful. It's held on by a few U-Bolt clamps to the exhaust piping and becomes a rattle-cage. The hardware it uses also rusts nearly immediately. Avoid and get a real diffuser as they get made.
