Unsure of what you mean, are you referring to when I said it sounded good? I still have active sound currently but planning on taking it off soon since I've got my exhaust installed

I’ve been sliding my car a bit and I think it would probably be smarter to just getting a burner set. 225/40 is more tire than I’d personally run, but you could just run 50 psi. I’d prob do a 215 or so at a nice 40-45psi. Also, don’t forget that running 18s is gonna rack up a nice tire bill quick. Lastly, I believe the last gen cars really hate having different radius wheel/tire setups and will go into limp mode so that is also something worth checking.

Phone mount

It warmed up enough to install my phone mount. There's exactly enough room for the adhesive pad for this mount to fit just on the inside of the console.

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The plate on my phone case is on the bottom to support wireless charging so when the phone is attached it's just perfect and the USB cable will still fit.

Copy that, thank you for the advice I appreciate it man

I'm just getting into sliding with this car, I've been a long time drifter fan and have tons of sim rig experience so I hope to get a lot of seat time this summer so I can really get a feel for it. Doing as much research as I can now

I was debating on just fitting the oem 215/40 tires but it is quite a bit of stretch, but I heard it's better to initiate and keep control

I have a current set of 16 inch steelies, may just use them even though it'll be ugly asf haha.

Didn't know about the limp mode issues, would pulling ABS help with that or is that a separate issue? Wonder why it does that

Yea, I’d say 215 whatever’s on a 17x7-7.5 or so would be cheapest and best. This car has a lot more power but it definitely is more of a momentum car than something like a 370Z.

I don’t recall exactly on the last part. I never actually bought a 1st gen but I think people pulled one of the wheel speed sensors or something, which would make sense.

Finally got my suspension components installed (coils + rlca) and aligned. ~1 finger gap w/ -2.6 front, -3 rear.

Fitment is definitely a bit tight with 18x9.5 +40 on 255/35. Rear inner fenders were shaved/cut previously. Havent noticed any major rubbing issues yet, but I've only driven like 20 miles.

Swapped out the exhaust tips for the JDM version. Hopefully it won't be too long before some properly developed header options are available for the 2nd gen.

If anyone ever installs a phone holder that attaches to the floor/rail like this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...ustomerReviews

show pics or tag me. A friend had one in an FR-S that I thought looked super clean, and I was curious if one can be used in the new cars.

Very interesting but with such a long neck, I'd be worried of too much movement or vibration without some sort of stabilizer closer to where the phone would be. I have something significantly shorter but it still vibrates too much when my car is on.

Thats weird. From what I remember (this was 2017), it didnt vibrate at all or move at all except when my knee hit it (he put it on the passenger side).

That might be more due to the length of the chord absorbing vibrations maybe? Idk. But I wanted to try something similar.
