Cut away enough of the "dribble" lip so that a sandwich plate can now sit where it is supposed to.... lower, more compact and making way more sense.
(no need for a riser plate and its extra seal)

While I'm waiting for a buddy to get a night free to help me set the timing and put the timing cover back on, I took out the exhaust manifold studs, cleaned them up real nice and put them back in.

Played snowplow last week and the lip didn't survive a very snowy looking chunk of ice.

At least no bumper damage!

A bumper is less expensive than that STI lip.

For the part yes, but not if including painting. Bodywork/paint is really damn expensive around here.

Ah well.. I'm replacing it with a much cheaper lip because I'm sure this won't be the last time this happens.

The first time I went off the track did the same and tore up my STI lip. I purchased a knock off and put the STI badge on it. It did not fit as well as the STI version but was only $100 instead of $500.

Switched to a Lithium battery for the weight savings.
Lost 31 lbs. off the front of the car.

Good choice, that is my plan is to shift to these as batteries start to go out. I will stay with full size replacements though.

If the full size replacements come down in price, I'd consider it. But these small ones are much less and it still has a similar CCA as the factory battery.

Bought a used HKS header and had it powder coated, and installed Professional Awesome splitter rods on my Verus splitter.

I haven’t been stage 2 since 2018, and this setup (HKs EL header + stock OP/FP + Perrin 2.5” catback) is so much more quiet than my last setup (RevWorks UEL header + Nameless downpipe + Greddy Supreme SP catback), people are 100% right when they say an aftermarket front pipe is a real noise maker.

Nice setup. Can you give details on what battery hold down and fittings you went with? Also, is that the ATX12 battery?

It's the ATX20-RS

I got the mount from Checkered Sports
https://www.checkerdsports.com/colle...mount-atx20-rs

The wiring fittings are from Antigravity, but I purchased them through Checkered Sports with the mount.
https://www.checkerdsports.com/produ...pr_seq=uniform

The mounting position is decent. I drilled holes in the body and used self-tapping screws. The screws in the front are into some bracket with good thick metal. The screws in the back are in pretty thin sheet metal. Being as the whole assembly is pretty light, I think it'll be just fine.
I also put a couple strips of thin weather stripping under the battery to act as a cushion, plus the mount from Checkered Sports was a tiny bit taller then the battery.
