it's a very secret trick to indian culture. they have a capability to slow time down, but only use it during tech support calls. so while the outside reality is that you've only spent 1 hour with them. but within that time, you've actually been on the phone for 4+ hours of them asking if you can reboot the pc, and if you'll hold on to be transferred to someone else asking if you can reboot the pc.

I know you're kidding. The first-level support call is the tip of the iceberg. It's not the culture. It's just the gig. It doesn't matter if the person on the other end is Indian, German, South African, Czech, whatever. They still have to run through the due diligence.

Was out walking the dog and I'm 85% sure someone was following us for about ten minutes and only gave up when they saw that I started talking to someone on my phone. Kinda creepy...
