At a stop light some guy asked me to roll the window down. He said "Is it an automatic?" "No, manual". "Does it have paddle shifters?" Me, with a confused face, "No, the automatic does, but this is a stick shift." "Oh, that shits hot!" "Thanks...."

Weird.

My bf owns a mazdaspeed3. Kind of completely overshadowed his car after getting mine lol Although when we take my car instead of his, pretty much everyone looks at him to take the keys out when we are walking towards the car... and then that's when I get inside the drivers seat..

and I do get people who follow me from time to time.

Ouch LOL...My gf owned a supra a while back while I drove a total sh!tbox (not even gonna name the make) and whenever we'd go for a drive of course we'd take hers, because sports car lol and whenever I had to hop in the passenger seat in view of public eyes, I'd have to check my crotch just to make sure my junk was still there.

While I don't have an fr-s just yet, mine is a whiteout 6mt and it should be here in 5 weeks, I am use to people staring. My wife bought one of the first fiat 500's in Chattanooga. It has the sports package that came with a spoiler and red brake calipers, so we get a ton of looks and pointing and even laughing from confused southerners! Lol. I am very much looking forward to owning a car that people tend to laugh at less often!

was stopped at a light and a kid was doing free car washes for a club or something, i heard him yell 'what is that?!' and rolled down the window. "Nice car" he said, and I thanked him. "come get it washed all shiny and new again!", I politely declined, but inside I was thinking swirls, scratches and started crying inside.

I got two new ones:

1) My ex calls me out of the blue and was like my fiance and I just saw you driving around and he's in love with your car. I wanted to make a comment about him liking my sloppy seconds but i kept things civil instead.

2) I was at the Toyota dealership to get my DRLs turned off and there was a super cute red head there also getting her car serviced. As I was waiting for a tech i saw her go over and take a look at my car. She went all around it checking it out. Ended up leaving as I didn't have enough time to leave the car today.

Both are firsts as its usually middle aged men checking out the car.

I carpool to work with my co-worker who has a Whiteout FR-S.

Just in our 30 min commute to work, at least 10+ "nice car" comments and thumbs up.

Every red light, the pedestrians walking by with their eyes glued.

me so jelly.

Everyday!

I got my FR-S on May 24 and I don't think a days gone by where someone hasn't asked me about it.

My favorite reaction so far was while stopping at Which-Wich (sandwich place for those unfamiliar). It's located in a strip mall and I got perfect parking right out front. I come back to my car and the Tae-Kwon-Do instructor next door (looks like a young Mr. Miyagi) keeps turning to look at it as he goes inside.
