Hot box is basically when you puff real hard on a cigarette all the while (usually) in a car with the windows rolled up or only open enough to ash your cigarette out the window.

Commonplace in 1970.

Very surprised that humfz does not know what hot boxing is.
Though I've never seen someone "hot box" cigs before.
Only weed.

Can find a nearby clinic and get it done w/o charge. You’re allotted 1-2 per week, depending on the location. That’s what I did to confirm my results after a home test came up positive.

um, are you inferring that farting/hotboxing in the car is the leading cause of why you have chronic bronchitis?

Yeah we were middle class, I guess. This was the same car (except for the wheels, lol) that my father drove in 1970, same blue. He was in sales but on the road always and his trunk was full of samples. Seatbelts were hanging from the roof, usually out of the way on a flimsy wire bracket on GMs of this era IIRC. Ash tray was probably disgusting.

When I was a kid Taco Bell was a culinary insult that no one had dreamed up yet. My dad had a '49 flathead 8 Ford sedan for a DD that doubled as his farm truck. Every other weekend we'd load up the chainsaws and gas cans and head to the ranch. We slept in a pop-up tent trailer because, unlike certain of my friends here, we couldn't afford a house or a barn. The tractor (a Ford 8N) got to sleep under a plastic tarp. Fortunately, no one smoked. My dad did have a certain fondness for Agent Orange (to feed the mesquite trees), but no hot boxing in the car.

Speaking of hot boxing. A gal worked for me for several years that was a dead ringer for a youngish Meg Ryan. She used to laugh hysterically about "hot boxing her honey" - nasty farting under the sheets and then pulling them over his head and holding him down. Not sure how I would have dealt with that. She was incredibly hot, but that's pretty gross.

Capt Spaulding, I believe what you are referring to is a Dutch oven. Instant loss of arousal if a woman did that to me.

Oh, OK. Back in the 60's, I did witness guys setting up a card table, putting a blanket over it, then they would stick their heads under the table, while one of them smoked a joint. Yes, I did that, for a very short time, but, I didn't inhale -

But, like they say in the old country, "once you get past the smell, you got it licked".

Something fun to do on New Year's Eve.
Surstromming and a red habanero.

Where I grew up, hot boxing was when you smoked a joint/cigarette so fast and furious until it had a really long cherry.
