oh geeze. Modern sims with a keyboard is worse than how I remember MS Flight Sim was in the DOS days (that'd be 1993 or 1994).
But... it definitely takes getting used to. And the more immobile your setup the better it is...

OMFG: One Million Fatal Guns
I found this in my Steam library; I have no recollection of downloading it *shrug*. It is fun in small doses, quite fast paced, incredibly low graphics. For free it is good value.

some speculation in the reviews that it's mining, as it maxes cpu usage during use?

Well. Old old PC (amd phenom 965 black) resurrected as a headless VM server. So far it has a Windows image for hosting sim racing, and a home assistant image so I can start expanding my home automation repertoire.
Turns out my sister is replacing my old athlon X2 with the Ryzen 2600+... That's going to be quite a jump, especially the spinning hdd to pcie3 m2 ssd.

Decided I'm gonna go with air cooling on my mid-tower build. I'm also going to stick with my mini-itx board and PSU because, why not. Also incase I decide to switch back to SFF. I settled on getting the Noctua NH-D15S (I'm limited on fan headers) and found a good deal where for $10 more you can get the white covers for the cooler. I'm tempted to get the regular NH-D15 because chonky boi, but we will see.

Picked up the Tomb Raider trilogy on Epic Games. I had the first two on Steam but did not have the GOTY editions. They are free to buy through 1/6/22.

My Epic list is getting about as bad as my Steam list. At least I'm not buying anything on Epic and some of them are duplicates with Steam.

I have around 170 games in Epic and I only bought one game (Metro Exodus) of that list :p . Too bad you can't give them away. I have 4 copies of Watch_dogs 1 and 3 copies of the crew 1 and some other games I have doubles of.

Ok put about 2 hours in, completed the intro missions before being released into the open world of Halo Infinite. The story is surprisingly good and more human than the previous entries. I don't do much Halo outside the games so the new bad guys are clearly from a different media of story. I assume one of the Halo Wars or books, or whatever. The gameplay is fun and reminds me of Doom. I just finished Halo 4 so for all of the baddies to be speaking so much English is kinda odd. Otherwise, I really like the story so far.

I do have a couple gripes though. I really liked the design of Master Chiefs suit in Halo 4 and 5. I also grew to like the weapon designs from them. So reverting him back to his Halo & Halo 2 suit is odd. Especially with the brighter green color scheme. They did this as well with the Covenants too. The Elites have the same Blue and Red schemes and designs from the original series, as do the Grunts. The jackels seem to change every game though. Same with the Brutes. They started as more ape-like, and now look like hairy Scottish Strongmen.

I also find it odd how they did a hodge-podge of new and old weapons. They bring back the original battle rifle design from 2, the assault rifle design from Reach, and then introduce a new pistol and shotgun design. They do something similar with the 'Banished'/ covenant weapons.

I'll play some more tomorrow and see how the open world aspect is.

Found a great deal at Costco for an LG Ultra Gear monitor. $299 for 165Hz Refresh rate, QHD, 2590x1440, HDR, NVIDIA Sync 32". Compared to my GIGABYTE monitor, it is the exact same specs, it is cheaper but is not curved. Which after testing yesterday on A.C and Warzone, it does give you a little more camera room than the curved monitor, just ever so slightly.

For the price, it is absolute steal. Im selling my old monitor to my brother now that he finally finished his build and is gaming on a small 60Hz monitor.
